Another Successful Blood Drive

On Friday August 21st the Halesite Fire Department and ladies auxiliary once again hosted a successful blood drive for the Long Island Blood services. Over one hundred people showed up to donate and eighty nine units of blood were collected. First Assistant Chief Andrew Magerle credits both the regular donors and several new comers for achieving the high volume that Long Island Blood Services have come to expect from the Halesite community. He also would like to encourage all available donors to attend the winter drive that will be scheduled in January of 2010.
