Former Halesite Chief Elected Commissioner of the Centerport Fire District

Outgoing Chief of the Halesite Fire Department, Kurt Martin, was elected to the Centerport Fire Department's Board of Fire Commissioners on December 8, 2009. Kurt, a resident of the Centerport Fire District, had recently finished his duties as Chief a few days earlier on December 3, 2009. He will remain a member of the Halesite Fire Department, which shares a boarder with the Centerport Fire Department.
